Title: | Chairman's report on hospital development: praise for staff | Authors: | Central Coast Express | Issue Date: | 9-May-1966 | Abstract: | Article regarding Gosford District Hospital in the Central Coast Express, 9th May, 1966. "Chairman's report on hospital development". Image. | Description: | "Chairman's report on hospital development". R.G. Mathews, Chairman of the Board of Gosford District Hospital welcomed the Minister for Health, Mr A.H. Jago, at the opening of the new wing of Gosford District Hospital. The District had a ratio of 2 beds per thousand of population, compared with the average number in New South Wales of 5.8 per thousand. Although having no desire to be better off than the rest of the State, the Board clearly did not wish to be worse off. Discusses the need for planning for the future, with expected population growth in the area. | URI: | https://elibrary.cclhd.health.nsw.gov.au/cclhdjspui/handle/1/1190 | Publicaton type: | Memorabilia | Subject: | Gosford District Hospital;Infrastructure, External |
