Description: "Hospital to purchase Army land" details the purchase of Army land adjacent to the Hospital for $25,000 ; the Hospitals Commission had also given approval to proceed with sketch plans for a theatre wing. Chairman R.M. Vaughan announced the plans, along with the building of a kiosk, funded locally, and built voluntarily by the Gosford Rotary Club. Note made of the death of board member Harry Craft, a great charity worker. Board member, Harry Little resigned because of ill health Board member Ron Matthews resigned as a result of transferring from the district. New board members, Roy Dibben and Reg Eddy were welcomed. Mr Humphries unveiled a plaque at the nurse training school, and Nurse Kerry Vickery gave him a book as a a memento of the occasion.
