Description: “Ettalong Hospital Auxiliary” details the general meeting and election of officers of the Ettalong Hospital Auxiliary for the next 12 months. Mr. N. Boyce, Secretary of Gosford District Hospital, occupied the chair and Matron Inskip was guest speaker. President, Mrs. Hoare thanked members of the auxiliary including Mrs. Hook for arranging bus tours and Mrs. McAllery for her wonderful gesture of dressing the lovely Spanish dolls that were raffled off. The ladies were thanked for working hard on the stalls. The Treasurer, Mrs. D. Gerard reported on the Auxiliary’s encouraging financial position. The Secretary, Mrs. Hillyer said the project for the year, a humidicrib for Gosford District Hospital was an outstanding success and the achievement of raising $1,000 was due to the untiring efforts of the president and auxiliary members. The president presented Mr. Boyce with a cheque for $1,000 to buy a humidicrib and Matron Inskip was presented with a small gift and box of babies’ clothes. The following office bearers were elected for the coming year: President, Mrs.Hoare; secretary, Mrs. Hillyer; treasurer, Mrs. D. Gerard; vice-presidents, Mesdames Downey, Dixon, Walker, Schilz and Juliff; publicity officer, Mrs. G. Minnens; social secretary, Mrs. Hook; auditor, Mr. Stanton.
