| dc.description | “A three point plan for care of the aged; Special units for Woy Woy and Gosford” details the announcement of a geriatric ward and fail aged units will be built on land held in trust by Gosford District Hospital Board, in Ocean Beach Road, Woy Woy and a 20 bed rehabilitation unit to be built at Gosford District Hospital. The announcement was made following a conference between the Minister for Health Mr. A.H. Jago, Chairman of the Hospital Commission Dr. Selley, Chairman of the Gosford District Hospital Board Mr. R.M. Vaughan, the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Neville Boyce and the Resident Medical Superintendent Dr. Ian Walters, it was announced The frail aged units will be built with the $27,000 raised by the Woy Woy Hospital Committee and Commonwealth funding. The Hospitals Commission, at its own expense, will construct a geriatric ward at Woy Woy Hospital which will be under the control of Gosford District Hospital. The new rehabilitation ward at Gosford District Hospital is fortunate to have Senior Resident Dr. J. Bartholomeusz and S. Englund who has extensive experience in rehabilitation. Mr. R.
