Description: "Hospital Busier" details increasing demand at Gosford District Hospital with a daily average bed occupancy of 96 for the month of April with this number expected to increase in the next few months as all 135 beds in the hospital are now available for use. Outpatients treated 959 patients and the district nurses had 2,369 cases. Medical Superintendent Dr. I. J. Walters reported work in the x-ray department had increased, with 43% more work done in the first three months of last year. Mr. R. G. Mathews resigned after serving five and a half years on the board of Gosford District Hospital. Mr. R. Vaughan spoke highly of Mr. Mathews work at the last hospital board meeting.
