The Committee was adamant that money subscribed by the people of Woy Woy, $30,000 to date, must be used for the sole purpose for which it was given - a hospital in Woy Woy. Mr. Tom Waugh, president of the Woy Woy Lion's Club presented a cheque for $250. Mr. Ted Humphries M.L.A. will be asked to arrange and lead the deputation. The Committee unanimously rejected a report by Mr. Ted Humphries stating consideration should be given to the establishment of a nursing home on Ocean Beach Road and this meeting was called in protest. Mr. A. Osborne, president of the Woy Woy Hospital Committee believed there was a great need for a subsidiary hospital at Woy Woy and added every doctor in the Woy Woy district had signed the petition for a hospital at Woy Woy.
