"Hospital Extensions"; "Staff Will Need Accommodation". No Image. | Description: | "Hospital Extensions" details fourteen new probationary nurses in training at Gosford District Hospital with twenty more to start in the near future. The 14 probationers are being housed in the original nurses' quarters which were abandoned when a modern brick building was constructed. The old home has been renovated, with, with each room delightfully furnished. However, with the other batch of 20 nurses to be accommodated, the position is acute. Chairman of the Board, Mr. R. G. Mathews indicated efforts would be made to find outside accommodation. Options may include motels, private homes or the leasing of two or three houses. | URI: | https://elibrary.cclhd.health.nsw.gov.au/cclhdjspui/handle/1/1705 | Publicaton type: | Memorabilia | Subject: | Newspaper Articles;Nursing;Gosford District Hospital |
