Abstract: Article regarding Gosford District Hospital in the Central Coast Express Newspaper, 6th June 1979. "Children in Hospital Week". Image: Children in Hospital Week, organised at Gosford District Hospital by the International Year of the Child Committee will be an effective way of introducing youngsters to what a child patient can expect if admitted to the colourful children's ward which also has a playroom and many other special facilities.
Description: "Children in Hospital Week" details members of the public being invited to view the children's ward at Gosford District Hospital during Children in Hospital Week. The week allows children to see that hospital is not a scary place. Matron Maries Lowndes highlights in the article that children of the Central Coast need not to feel worried if they are required to be hospitalised due to ward being designed to meet the emotional needs of children in the ward.
