Mathews stepping down from Chairman of the Board during the Board's Annual Meeting. The meeting covered the expansion of Gosford District Hospital to twice its former size with renovations finishing in 1967. Also covered was financial statements which showed a monetary surplus and a rise in Staff Appointments. Dr I Walters was appointed as Medical Superintendent. Two more nurses were appointed to the District Nursing Service and 30,380 house visits were made. Hospital Auxiliaries raised $3446 for the hospital.
