Jago (Minister for Health) opening next month. Official Guests for the opening include local Members, Mr and Mrs E. Humphries, Mr and Mrs W. Maxwell and Mr and Mrs H. Jensen. The contract price for the building was projected to be $342,000 but will reach around $1,000,000 including furnishings. Being built is an extensive laundry, boiler room and is set out with four levels. The lower floor will consist of a Blood Bank, Casualty Wards with Operating Theatres and a Dispensary. An intake of Nursing Trainees will be brought in to fill the positions needed for the extension and a new nurses' home will be built.
