"Hospital Probe: Board Investigates Woy Woy Emergency Service Complaints". Image: Mr Neville Boyce. | Description: | "Hospital Probe: Board Investigates Woy Woy Emergency Service Complaints" details the complaints made about Woy Woy emergency medical service due to a deficiency of services including no resident doctor. Mr Neville Boyce has addressed this issue saying that all complaints would be thoroughly investigated. These incidents include children as well as adults and there was a long waiting period. Association president, Mr Dave Abbott, Mr Keith O'Connell (State Member for Peats) and Dr Rod Kennedy (Gosford District Hospital's Medical Superintendent) have looked over the matter. Mr Abbott was invited to inspect the hospital. Woy Woy Progress Association has funded the hospital with $2,000 to go towards a small operating theatre, though the hospital already has one. Mr Abbott has said his association would not relinquish its aim to have the Woy Woy Hospital upgraded and for it not to be used exclusively as a rest home. | URI: | https://elibrary.cclhd.health.nsw.gov.au/cclhdjspui/handle/1/680 | Publicaton type: | Memorabilia | Subject: | Newspaper Articles;Woy Woy Hospital;Emergency Department |
