A large crowd attended and attendees included Mr R. G. Mathews (Chairman of Board), Mr and Mrs E. Humphries, Matron I. Inskip and Miss M Lane (Deputy Matron at the Royal Alexandria Hospital for Children and key speaker for that evening). Nurses currently studying at Gosford District Hospital also received awards. These include, Nurses Taylor, Woodland, Kerr, Vickery, Arnold, Beasley, Hocking, Phillips and Vickery.
