Title: | Holiday Home Plan for Nurses | Authors: | Gosford Star | Issue Date: | 20-Sep-1967 | Abstract: | Article regarding Gosford District Hospital in the Gosford Star Newspaper, 20th September 1967. "Holiday Home Plan for Nurses". Image: Sister Lowndes. | Description: | "Holiday Home Plan for Nurses" details the public appeal from the Gosford District Hospital nurses for a holiday home of their own. A committee was formed, headed by Sister M. Lowndes, which has raised $1600 towards the building and application has been made for a block of crown land in Bateau Bay. Local Architect, G. Grenfell, has offered to do the necessary sketches. The hospital has grown from 62.5 visits to 98.2 daily occupied beds. The nursing staff of 120 will probably double as Gosford Hospital becomes a Base Hospital and a holiday home seems to be the way to attract necessary staff. | URI: | https://elibrary.cclhd.health.nsw.gov.au/cclhdjspui/handle/1/739 | Publicaton type: | Memorabilia | Subject: | Gosford District Hospital;Nursing;Infrastructure, External;Newspaper Articles |
