No Image. | Description: | "A Story of Rapid Development" details the new $300,000 four-storey building at Gosford District Hospital to house 30 nurses and the Nurses' Training School. To be officially opened on Saturday April 22nd by Mr E. H. Humphries and Mr Neville Boyce (CEO) invited the public. Work has commenced on kiosk at Gosford District Hospital, with labour from the Gosford Rotary Club. Majority of finance has come from the hospital auxiliaries of Gosford, Ettalong, Hardys Bay, Ourimbah and Kincumber. Blood from the hospitals blood bank has been instrumental in saving the lives of a number of seriously ill patients. In the first month of operation 120 donors have given blood. The children's ward has been doubled in size and will now accommodate 20 patients. There has been an increase in demands for services at Gosford District Hospital.
