Description: "In Memory of Charity Doyen" details the donations given to Gosford District Hospital in memory of the former district charity doyen, Mrs Doris Wallwork. A $256 ripple bed was donated by Mrs L. Frazer on behalf of the Crippled Children's Association. Board Chairman, R. M. Vaughan spoke glowing terms about Mrs Wallwork. A plaque on the machine is engraved in honour of Mrs Wallwork. Present at the presentation ceremony were Mrs. G. McKenzie (branch secretary), Mrs. E. C. Grenfell, Mrs W. R. White, Mr Neville Boyce and Matron Inskip.
