Description: "Welcome Mellissa" details the 2000th baby to be born at Gosford District Hospital for the 1979-1980 year. The birth also created a record for the hospital which, for the first time, recorded 2000 births in 12 months. Sister Gwen Bickley, the charge sister, and Sister Betty Harrison, acting director of nursing, presented gifts to the mother, Mrs Debbie Inwood and her first child, Mellissa.
