Description: "Decorations For Hospital" details nursing and domestic staff at Gosford District Hospital decorating the wards and corridors for patients who will remain in hospital over the holiday period. Figures released for November show a total of 331 inpatients treated ; 65 babies born in the maternity section; out-patients treated 666 patients and the six District Nurses made 2,354 calls on patients. Mr J. W. Elms has been awarded the tender to construct a medical superintendent's residence on hospital grounds. Mr R. G. Brown as been appointed as engineer in charge of the nearly completed boiler room and Mr. L. McMullen has been appointed laundry foreman. The Hospitals Commission has granted approval to purchase a mobile X-ray unit at a cost of £2,351.
